Sarah Kane’s Computer Terminal

In 1978, Meridian Group employee Sarah Kane installed a DEC PDP-11/70 in the Meridian Group’s offices at 2 Condonation Close, Whitehall.

Investigative journalist Kit Marlow found Kane’s original PDP-11/70 in the Meridian Group’s offsite warehouse. He restored it and connected it to the internet. The terminal window below allows you to access the Meridian Group’s archives as they existed in 1988, when this computer was retired.
